Notes from “Going on a Diet”

·      People in this video are stressed because of their weight, as it has increased.
·      They prefer using diet pills over exercising.
·      They are afraid of getting obese, but don’t do anything about it.
·      Gaining means, increase in weight.  Losing means, decrease in weight.
·      Diet pills help you lose weight, which they think is easier than exercising.
·      But by using diet pills, you don’t lose weight for good, you can gain it back immediately.
·      Foods like meat, fish and cheese are rich in protein.
·      Foods like sugar, rice and cereals are rich in carbohydrate.
·      Yoyo is a toy, which is used as an example of losing and gaining weight. 
·      Coming around something, means seeing something in a new way, change in perspective. 
·      Doing something like someone, is following someone’s example.
·      To be obese, means to be overweight.
·      It is estimated that a very high population of the United States is obese.
·      To shed extra pounds, means to lose some weight.

·      They prefer fasting over exercising, which means no eating, which can lead to health issues.
