Blood Pressure - Fottima Mahkomova

Blood Pressure

According to the doctors, 120/80 mm Hg is considered normal.  Hypertension means high blood pressure.  Hypotension means low blood pressure.  Both hypertension and hypotension can lead to serious health problems, hypertension can cause heart attack, stroke and heart disease.  Women are less prompt of having hypertension compare to men, but as women get older, the risk is the same as of a man.  Women can still lower the risk of high blood pressure, as they get older, by exercising, lower alcohol consumption, maintain a healthy diet by eating more vegetables and fruits and less meat and prevent anemia by taking supplements of folic acids.
